The first-generation Kuga (2008–2012) was built on the Ford Focus platform. The second generation (2012–2019) brought a refreshed interior and updated technology, while the current third generation (since 2019) uses the C2 platform and also offers a plug-in hybrid PHEV version with an electric range of around 60 km.
