1.0 TFSI (3-cylinder) and 1.4/1.5 TFSI EA211 are used in compact A1 and A3 models. The 2.0 TFSI EA888 (gen3 and gen3B) is the core engine — 150–245 HP in A3, A4, A5, Q3 and Q5. The 3.0 TFSI V6 powers the A6, A7, Q7 and Q8 with 340–450 HP. S and RS models use special engines: S3/S4 2.9 TFSI V6, RS3 and RS Q3 2.5 TFSI 5-cylinder turbo, RS4/RS5/RS6 2.9 V6 biturbo, while the flagship RS Q8 uses a 4.0 V8 biturbo with 600 HP.
Older 2.0 TFSI units (EA113, EA888 gen1/gen2) were known for high oil consumption and timing chain issues — choose examples from that period carefully (up to 2013). EA888 gen3 and gen3B (from 2013) are significantly more reliable. For direct injection, walnut blasting of the intake valves is recommended around 100,000 km. On 5-cylinder RS models, check the turbo and exhaust system condition — aggressive use leaves its mark.
Audi petrol models are less common in Montenegro than diesel ones, which makes them more attractively priced compared with similar TDI-equipped cars.
