The C7 introduced a lightweight aluminum construction, a high-quality interior and updated TDI engines. The petrol 2.0 TFSI and 3.0 TFSI deliver quiet operation and stronger performance. quattro drive is standard on more powerful versions, while the 2.0 TDI is often available with front-wheel drive or quattro. On C7 models with the 3.0 TDI engine, check the condition of the intake manifold flaps, which can cause power loss. S tronic and Tiptronic transmissions require oil changes every 60,000–80,000 km. Air suspension (optional on the C7 and standard on the C8 S-line) can be expensive to repair — check its condition before buying. A CARFAX report is recommended for imported vehicles.
