The Toyota bZ4X is Toyota’s first global fully electric model and uses the e-TNGA platform shared with the Subaru Solterra. It is available with a 71.4 kWh battery and front-wheel drive (range of about 516 km WLTP) or AWD (about 470 km WLTP). It supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW. Toyota plans to expand the bZ lineup with models such as the bZ3 sedan and compact EV crossovers.
The bZ4X is a relatively new model (launched in 2022), so the supply of used examples is still limited. Toyota offers a 10-year or 1,000,000 km battery warranty up to 70% capacity, one of the longest in the industry. Check the vehicle firmware version, as early examples received OTA updates to improve charging speed and range.
Toyota is still primarily a hybrid brand in Montenegro, but the bZ4X is gradually appearing on the market. Charging stations in Podgorica and coastal cities make everyday use convenient, while 150 kW fast-charging support makes longer trips easier. For drivers who want Toyota reliability in a fully electric package, the bZ4X is an interesting option.
Toyota offers an exceptionally long warranty — 10 years or 1,000,000 kilometres down to at least 70% battery capacity. It is one of the longest and most comprehensive EV warranties on the market and shows Toyota’s confidence in the durability of its batteries.
In the FWD version, the bZ4X offers up to 516 km of range according to the WLTP standard with a 71.4 kWh battery. The AWD version has a slightly lower range of around 470 km. In real-world driving, range varies between 380 and 460 km depending on mode and temperature.
For decades, Toyota focused on hybrid technology as a transitional step toward full electrification, especially hydrogen fuel cells (Mirai). The bZ lineup represents Toyota’s systematic entry into the BEV segment, with the range set to expand in the coming years.
