The G20 3 Series (from 2019) and its G21 Touring version are the most common models in this category. The G30 5 Series (until 2024) and the new G60 generation (from 2024) dominate the upper segment. Among SUV models, the G05 X5 and G01 X3 offer the best mix of space, comfort, and modern technology. The F40 1 Series and F44 2 Series Gran Coupe provide more compact options with front-wheel drive or xDrive.
B47 diesel engines (320d, 520d) have been significantly improved and offer better efficiency and reliability than previous generations. A 48V mild-hybrid system was introduced on most models from 2020, reducing consumption in city driving. Plug-in hybrids with the “e” badge (330e, 530e, X5 xDrive45e) are becoming increasingly popular, with an electric range of 50–80 km. Fully electric i4, iX3, and iX models are also gradually appearing on the market.
BMW vehicles purchased in the EU in 2020 or later often come with an active BMW Service Inclusive package that covers regular servicing for the first 5 years or 100,000 km. Check whether the vehicle was imported from an authorized German, Austrian, or Italian dealer, as this makes warranty transfer easier. In Montenegro, the official BMW Group service network covers Podgorica and other major cities.
BMW factory warranty lasts 2 years with no mileage limit. For vehicles from 2022 or newer, the warranty is often still active. BMW Service Inclusive packages can extend service coverage up to 5 years or 100,000 km.
The 48V MHEV system reduces fuel consumption in city driving by 8–12%, enables smoother start-stop operation, and provides short electric assistance during acceleration. The system is simple and does not require external charging.
The 330e offers 50+ km of electric range, which is enough for daily city driving without using petrol. Charging from a home socket takes 5–6 hours. For owners who mostly drive in the city, this can significantly reduce fuel costs.
