The EQA is a compact crossover based on the GLA, with a 66.5 kWh battery and up to 426 km of range. The EQB is a seven-seater with the same battery setup and up to 423 km of range. The EQC is a mid-size SUV (80 kWh battery, ~400 km WLTP). The EQE and EQS use the new EVA platform — the EQE sedan offers up to 90 kWh and 626 km of range, while the EQS reaches up to 108 kWh and over 700 km in the best configuration. The EQS SUV delivers similar range in an SUV body style.
The EQA and EQB support AC charging up to 11 kW and DC charging up to 100 kW. The EQC goes up to 110 kW DC. The EQE and EQS on the EVA platform support DC charging up to 200 kW, allowing charging from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes. All EQ models stand out with the large MBUX Hyperscreen display (on the EQS and EQE), as well as advanced HEPA air filtration — practical for summer driving in Boka and southern Montenegro, where pollen and dust are common.
Most EQ models in Montenegro are imported from Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. The EQC (2019–2024) is the most common used model, with prices starting from EUR 35,000 for examples with higher mileage. When buying, check battery SoH through Mercedes Star diagnostics — a minimum of 85% after 100,000 km is a reasonable target. The high-voltage battery warranty lasts 8 years or 160,000 km and is transferable to the next owner.
The EQC is an earlier model based on the GLC platform with older technology (100 kW DC charging, ~400 km range). The EQE SUV uses the new EVA platform, supports 170+ kW DC charging and offers greater range with more modern systems.
The EQS has a high entry price and makes the most sense as a luxury primary car for drivers with a home charger. Running costs are low, but spare parts and insurance are expensive.
Ask for Mercedes Star diagnostics showing battery SoH, the number of DC fast charges, and the history of software updates. The battery warranty status is transferable to the new owner.
