The second generation (B9, 2008–2018) and third generation (K9, 2018–present) are the most common on the used market. The passenger version comes in M (shorter) and XL (longer) lengths, with the longer version offering seven seats. The Berlingo offers an exceptionally roomy cabin, sliding side doors and a boot of over 700 litres in the five-seat configuration.
The range includes the 1.2 PureTech petrol engine and 1.5/1.6 BlueHDi diesel engines (75, 100 and 130 HP). The third generation also offers a fully electric ë-Berlingo version with a 50 kWh battery and up to 280 km of range. Gearboxes include 5-speed and 6-speed manuals, as well as the EAT8 automatic in certain versions.
The Berlingo is popular thanks to its practicality and outstanding space-to-price ratio. Check the condition of the sliding doors, suspension and brakes, as these are the parts that wear out most in everyday use. For 1.6 BlueHDi engines, check the DPF filter and EGR valve. Inspect the interior, as it is often used as a cargo vehicle and may show signs of heavy use.
The M version has the standard wheelbase and five seats. The XL version is longer, offers a larger boot and can be configured with seven seats in three rows.
